Hi.

Welcome to seoulmellow. Here is where I collect quiet corners. Hope you have a nice stay!

The Most Beautiful Flower Cafe in Seoul

The Most Beautiful Flower Cafe in Seoul

Welcome to Arriate, a small escape from the neon lights and crowds of Gangnam.

While Seoul's latest trendy cafes feature critters like raccoons, turtles, and fish, I prefer the quiet urban oasis that is a flower cafe.

Not only can you get a latte and lounge with the flowers all day, you can buy miniature dried bouquets, design your own fresh arrangement, and even take a class with their florist.

Arriate is also known for their homemade teas ranging from classic Korean teas like yuja tea, to special herbal blends.  I opted for their yuja tea (slices of a lemon-like fruit soaked in sugar water until it becomes jelly, and is then added to hot water) to get rid of the small tickle of a cold in my throat that morning.

The cafe was filled with dried flowers of all kinds hanging from the ceiling.  The dangling string of lights made it fill like you were outside at some kind of garden party and the space heater created a breeze that made the flowers all sway in the wind.

Open seven days a week, 9:00am - 10:00pm, with cafe is a great place to meet friends for a relaxed cup of tea and then mosey down to Gangnam for the hustle and bustle that makes the area famous.

Arriate is located right outside of Yeoksam Station exit 7 (walk straight for about 45 seconds^^) and has wifi, plenty of seats, and a few small food options like waffles.

Its also a good place to stop and grab some plants that make great gifts :)

Check it out here!

Enjoy!
